• Any abuse towards our staff or forum members will not be tolerated, and may result in suspension of your account.
• We reserve the right to modify these rules at any time without notice. It is your responsibility to be informed.
• Anyone 13 years of age or younger MUST have their parents' or legal guardian's permission before participating in this forum.
• All minors must receive their parents' or legal guardian's permission before giving out their address in these forums or via private message. This includes giving out their address for the purpse of receiving prizes offered through contests held in this forum.

1. Must be an active member with at least 200 quality posts. This shall be decided by Staff
2. Must have a good history and use good grammar and spelling to set a good example to members
3. Candidate must be approved by majority of the present staff
4. If Advisor is inactive for four months they shall be demoted and possibly replaced with new advisor elected by Staff.
5. Any member may be promoted or demoted as an advisor for any reason necessary. Reasons for immediate demotion include: abuse of position, policy violations, etc.
6. This criteria can be updated or revised by Mayor Ken as necessary.
7. Mayor Ken always makes the final decision to promote or demote any advisor. His decisions are final.
8. In general there shall be only one new Advisor for every 12 members who have logged on and posted in a given month, unless more are needed needed.

Email addresses provided to SimCity Forum will not be provided to third parties unless a member decides to make their email address publicly available via their profile options. The only email SimCity Forum will send will be directly related to this forum, where a member has requested that they be kept informed of activity in threads or when another member sends them a private message. Any mailing list we may create will be on an opt-in basis.

One exception to this email policy is in regards to spammers. These forums are not a dumping ground for spam (we all know what spam is). As such we reserve the right to publicly publish any email address in our spammers hall of shame such that the email address will fall victim by other spammers who crawl websites like this and harvest email addresses for the purpose of spamming them. If your real intention in joining this forum is to push spam upon us, then we don't want you here.

Third parties who may use the information

Operating a forum like this, even if it is just a hobby fan site, can get quite expensive in the long run.
