On November 1, 2005 I will be holding a drawing for one $25 gift card from a major retailer of the winner's choice (provided the store exists in my area and it isn't Walmart). If the winner would prefer, instead of a gift card, I am willing to pay the $25 prize via PayPal.
For every FIVE posts a member makes to the SimCity Forum during the month of October, they will get one entry into this drawing.
The more you post, and/or the more new members you recruit, the more chances you have to win.
Please note that posts to the "This or that" or "The three word game" threads will not count towards post counts for the purposes of determing the number of entries for this drawing. I think these posts kind of violate the spirit of this contest.
Any minor who wins this contest needs to get the permission of their parent(s) before providing me with an address to which I am to mail the gift card.
Good luck.
Those who do not live in the United States please take notice!
For members who do not live in the United States, it can be very difficult to claim the prize if they win. The reason is that we do not necessarily have the same stores, thus I can't buy a gift card for you.
If you win this drawing and do not live in the United States (or maybe Canada), it would be most helpful if you or someone you trust has a PayPal (https://www.paypal.com) account that I can send your prize to. Short of this, you would need to find out if your bank can cash checks drawn on a United States bank and made out in U.S. dollars. If you do not live in a country that has the same stores as the United States, do not have access to a PayPal account and/or your bank can not cash checks from the United States, I will be unable to award you your prize.
