Yeah, in Norwegian it is, but in English it's called crowns I think. Besides, when you say that you spend 500 crowns on a game, it makes you sound very rich

The game is available for 10€ and that in less then 2 year, that must make a statement I think.

But to be far, I find the game, not so good.

I like it to build in it, like to play the disasters, and build big cities. But I already got a problem, error and computer can't take the game so. It's a bit frustrating, because even if I think (because I am so, doing the same as others), it's bad. It's a game that really is good to play, IF it cost less then 10 euro. But if they want you to pay around 25 euro for it, then NO don't buy it! (Would be weird thought, that Commander & Conquer The First Decade is cheaper then that game then, even if it's out for about 2 years now, same time...And the game have way more games in it + have the best games ever to be made, uhm not my opinion, just a fact) :xD:

So, yes you can buy it, yes it's not so bad as everyone tells, but your crazy if you wanna spend more then 10 euro for it at this time, with the economic crisis.

I have just installed it. All I have to say is the game trailers were a little misleading.....

You can always get it via torrents to see if you like it, then buy it if you do. (Since downloaded games always have problems.)

I myself have never played it since it just doesn't look like the good ol' Simcity franchise I fell in love with. I always loved seeing what would pop up when I zoned land, I don't want total control. Because in the real world, the Mayor doesn't get to choose what buildings go where.

My take on SimCity Societies
I bought the SimCity Box recently, though my primary reason for purchasing it was to getSimCity 4 and Rush Hour (packaged as SimCiy 4 Deluxe), so get SimCity Societies and Destinations was more of a bonus.

After a few installation issues with SimCity Societies and Destinations, I started SimCity Destinations.

I have not played the game extensively, but what I did see was not that impressive. Firstly, the graphics is not as good as SimCity 4, as the textures look very washed out and quite grainy.
Secondly, the performance is pathetic. I have the minimum required specs for a Vista machine to play Societies, and even toned down alot of the graphics enhancements in the game, but it still ran very very sluggish!!
Thrid, the game does look too easy! Again, I have played it extensively, but from what I have seen, SimCity 4 has alot more goign for it in terms overall gamplay refinement, challenge, and ultimate satisfaction.

So my take would be to stick with SimCity 4, and specially if you have the Rush Hour expansion.

SimCity Societies was yup a little disappointing. You would hope it would be better than the last but it was that scenario where the original always better, in this case SimCity 4 as the original
