SimCity 4 Cheats

The following cheats will work with all known versions of SimCity 4. To activate these cheats, press CTRL+X to bring up the cheat input box, then enter the desired code and press enter.

stopwatch
Pauses the 24 hour clock cycle. Enter the code again to resume the timer.

whatimeizit <hour>
Sets the 24 hour clock to a specific time of day.whererufrom <name>Resets the name of your city to the given value.

hellomynameis <name>
Resets the name of the mayor to the given value.you don't deserve itMakes all rewards available, even if you truly don't deserve them.

sizeof <zoom>
Changes the game magnification to the given value. Acceptable values are 0-64 with 0 being the least magnified.

weaknesspays
Increases your funds by §1000.

fightthepower
Allows you to operate your city without any electricity requirements.

howdryiam
Allows you to operate your city without any water requirements.

zoneria
Hides the coloring of undeveloped zoned tiles.

tastyzots
Toggles the display of zots. Zots are small icons that appear above buildings to indicate problems, such as a lack of power or access to transportation.

Allows you to change your city's name.

you don't deserve it
Gives you all rewards and bonuses

recorder
Starts the recorder

Puts a green tinge on the map

Turns the advisors' heads into llamas

Displays terrain values when using query tool

Plus there are a few cheats that can be inputed, but no one knows what they do, if anything.

If it works, the cheat box will disappear, unless you're holding CTRL or shift.

what's the point of cheats that do nothing?

Well, it could just be a glitch that those 'cheats' happen to make the box dissapear, or they could be cheats that nobody has figured out what they do, but I doubt it.

For some reason the fightthepower and howdryiam make the box disappear, but they don't help. Are you sure that they actually do what you say they do?

Yeah, I use them all the time, and they work. The fightthepower cheat makes it so you no longer need any power plants or power lines, however the sims will complain they don't have power even though they do. The howdryiam cheat does the same thing only with water pumps and water pipes, although I don't think they complain about not having water. Best of all (or not, depending on how you think of it), you only have to do them once, and they stay on indefinetely. Does that make sense?

Dont forget this: <weaknesspays> and then you highlight it and copy it <ctrl c> and press enter. THen you open the cheatbox again and press <ctrl v> and press enter and do it as many times as you want Enjoy!
