    Extra Regional Transport

What do freight trains do? What are those big trucks with crates going for? Is thier some sort of shipping industry with neighbors? I understand trading power/water/transport of jobs. But why freighters and what do they do?

Add-On Question: What is agriculture for? It helps the farmers market and provides a microscopic amount of jobs, and pollutes water. It must do something really good for the amount of space it takes up...

Well, it is only a region, not the whole planet you're playing on. That means that those containers could be going for another part of the world for all we know.

To answer the add-on question: The agriculture increases residential demand as far as I know. If food is close to the homes, people will want to move in there. It's also cheaper to produce your own food than buy it from others, especially when the region development is quite new, and connections few. That's why agriculture is very popular at the start of a new city, and new region in particular.

I use agricultural zones early in a city's development while I have plenty of space. In time I replace these areas with other types of zoning as a city grows and runs out of space.

Thanks about the agriculture question. However, the city planner does say, "Mayor, we don't make a dime when industrial goods go no whare!" So, 1rst of all. What does this mean? 2nd of all. Are those trucks and semi's just thier for detail? 3rd, the original question.
