    transportation questions

Hi everyone!I haven't played for awhile but with 5 coming I thought I'd give it a go again.I have 2 questions(for now) that I have been searching all day for an answer and I'm getting conflicting answers.Do passenger train stations have to be facing a certain way such as arrow facing road and back to rail or doesn't it matter? Can the road be on the side and the track front or back?Another question:I have seen people put a road around the edge of the entire city. Why is this? The only time I saw this question asked the answer was "I don't know why.I saw it in a video."Thanks in advance.

For the first question: It does not matter which orientation you place the train stations, as long as there is road and rail touching it somewhere it will work fine (I just checked myself, as I wasn't sure either )

As for the second question: There is no reason, other than someone wanted to. It doesn't have any effect on the city, unless you do it for traffic reasons (which really doesn't make sense either).

Yes, build a better transportation network. Keeping cars off the road is the best way to avoid cars crashing.

Yeah, in SimCity 3000, you can build a city based off a subway system.
I wonder if you could do that in SimCity 4

I meant that in a helpful way. You need to use mass transit and/or a better road system to avoid cars crashing. Keeping cars off the the road is the best
way though, and that is done with mass transit (hint hint ). If you need more advice you'll need to be more specific.
