Big parks or little parks is there a difference?

I've been reading up on the subject of big parks vs. little parks and have learned something interesting. Apparently, large 3x3 parks, small 1x1 parks, fountains, playgrounds, ponds, etc. all have the same impact in regards to land value and aura. I don't know if this is true or not, but it is worth trying out. If one could get the same effect from a small park as a large park, it doesn't make sense to waste land on large parks.

Upon more research, I have learned that types of parks do supposedly have an effect on population caps for a city as follows:

I personally noticed that Large Parks have much bigger effect on land value than Small Parks and Foutains. I had a hard time reaching a High land value rating by just using Small Parks and Fountains, but as soon as I introduced Large Parks everything went up to High and in some cases reached Very High.

I don't have Simcity 3000 Unlimited (I have the regular 3000).

I think, I have observed some of the same tendencies with land values.
