Hi,

I installed SimCity 4 Deluxe yesterday, getting ready for a showdown. However, the game has a tendency of freezing at random spots (it can be a the map selection screen, or when playing normally). All graphics except the mouse cursor freeze. Music is playing normally. I can't Alt-Tab, and sometimes the cursor too freezes after a while. The only option I have is to manually turn on and off the computer.

The game does not crash and return to desktop, as I've seen many people talking about. It just freezes. Here are my system specs:

Pentium M 1.8
1024Mb RAM
GeForce 6800 Go (this is a laptop)
Windows XP SP2, all new updates installed
5Gb free hard disk space


I don't have this problem with other games. Any help or similar cries from other members are greatly appreciated.
