    I do not believe the two are compatible. At least I know that the BAT for SC3000 does not work with SC3000U (I've tried).

    When I try to download BAT for the first simcity 3000, an error comes up saying that I need to install directX 6.0 or I have an unrecognizable version. I have directX 9, what should I do?

    Ignore the error and continue with the install, just don't install their DirectX. It is just a case of the programmers forgetting to account for future versions of DirectX when checking for the version of DirectX installed.
