I just bought the Sims 2 Double Deluxe. It's pretty good, and was very economical to buy...3 Sims games for $30 instead of probably $80. Nightlife was fun, especially with the introduction of vampires.

It's easily the best Sims game if you can adapt yourself to knew features.

I myself turned Story Progression off since it really ruins your game. My child made friends with a girl with Story Progression on and she was an elder before he got to high school.

Other than that, it's so much easier than the other Sims. I'd recommend it.

What used to be wishes and fears are now just wishes. Another thing is moodlets, which you receive from special events in the game. Like getting a full night of rest or a good meal will give you positive mood and raise the mood bar. There are also negative ones, but are easily solvable. But...other than that, when I really think about it, it's essentially TS2

The bad things (only if you have a slow computer) are the lag and other related problems. The fact that it's one big neighborhood, everything interconnected makes it extremely slow.

I have The Sims, The Sims 2 and 3 but may get rid off them and buy them on the xbox 360 as i can't use 1 and 2 on it.

I have the Sims 3 and all it's expansion packs. I can't compare it with other Sims versions as this is what I only have. I love playing it too, it's quite an enjoyable game.
